One of the leading actuarial consultancies is looking for an outstanding Bid Designer or Bid Artworker to join their well-respected, successful and growing business development team to provide maternity cover on a 6 month fixed term contract basis. The successful applicant can be based in either London or Winchester.

The firm are looking for a creative designer who thrives on the challenges of designing tenders and working collaboratively in the pursuit of winning. You will need to understand the difference good design can make to the delivery of a message and excel at creating images and visual ideas that deliver complex messages with fewer words. The role holder will help win business and retain and grow it by supporting high profile and complex tenders. The role will work closely alongside the other members of the bid team, business development colleagues and partners. The Bid Designer or Bid Artworker will assume day-to-day ownership of bid designs, with direction from the Head of Bids. Working in collaboration with the Bid Manager and Bid Lead, you will deliver succinct, compelling and engaging pitch materials to prospects and existing clients, ensuring any design is representative of the win strategies and themes, scheduling concept reviews into the creative delivery of the tender documents and pitch materials as appropriate. The successful candidate will also provide adhoc support to the design team including marketing materials and collateral that the firm produces for clients on their behalf.

The ideal candidate will be a degree educated or equivalent designer who is be able to demonstrate a track record of work-winning design experience resulting in measurable commercial success within B2B professional or financial services, to include experience of managing large or complex design projects. It is also essential that applicants for the role of Bid Designer or Bid Artworker possess expertise in the use of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite for design purposes. An understanding of financial, actuarial, consulting, investment and insurance markets, as well as Partnership experience would be valuable but not essential.
