If you have experience of marketing to youth audiences at strategic, tactical and operational levels and are looking for a new challenge in a vibrant, dynamic and diverse environment, join UEL as a School Marketing Executive.

It’s a particularly exciting time here at UEL as, under our new 10-year strategy, we’re committed to providing students with the skills necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world, including increasing the diversity of the talent pipeline, particularly for Industry 4.0 jobs. We also want to position our east London location as being at both the heart of a major global gateway and the local community. And, right now, we’re looking for a highly-motivated and creatively focused individual to join our External Relations Directorate’s Marketing team.

Your challenge will be to lead the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans and integrated, multi-channel marketing activities for your allocated School. We'll also rely on you to report on marketing activities for that School and develop a deep knowledge and understanding of its product (course) portfolio. Collating, generating and presenting School-specific content for use in marketing communications and identifying appropriate channels to target relevant audiences will be important too. And, when it comes to taking ownership of cross-School initiatives, again, we’ll count on you. Along the way, you’ll manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including Heads of Schools, Departments and Subjects and provide the marketing support they need.

As well as a relevant first degree in a related discipline, you’ll need proven experience of marketing using an evidence-based, segment and targeted approach. You’ll also need to be familiar with the UK Higher Education system, particularly recruitment cycles, events, admission systems and processes. Using market research, insight and analysis to identify and evaluate marketing opportunities and inform plans comes naturally to you too. What’s more, you have an understanding of cultural differences and how to manage these in the context of student marketing. And, whether planning and prioritising work on a daily basis or developing annual operational marketing plans and campaigns, your strong attention to detail and problem solving skills enable you to get the job done.

So, if you’re driven by results, guided by insight and creatively focused and looking for genuine personal progression and career development potential, get in touch.

At UEL, we aim to attract and retain the best possible staff and offer a unique working environment that combines a tradition of academic excellence and innovation with a location at the heart of a dynamic region with excellent transport links. East London is experiencing rapid development too, making it one of the most stimulating parts of London in which to work. We also offer a great range of benefits including pension, family friendly policies and an on-site nursery and gym at our Docklands Campus.
