An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive Senior BD Executive to join a specialist London law firm.

Working as part of the BD team and reporting to the Director of Business Development you will have primary responsibility within the team for new business, both in relation to formal and informal tenders and the pipeline process more generally. The successful applicant will be tasked with the coordination of all bids and tenders. This will include assessing the viability of opportunities, drafting and preparation of proposal documents, rehearsal of client presentations, feedback and transition planning and maintaining pitch library. You will work with fee earners to prepare fee quotes, retainer arrangements and other fixed fee proposals and maintain library of pricing information and will also assist the Director of Business Development with larger, strategically important tender opportunities. The Senior BD Executive will manage the firm's new business pipeline, identifying and progressing key prospects and working with fee earners to help them build relationships with individual contacts. This will include in depth research into UK pension schemes and their employers. In addition, the role holder will need to monitor and report on the firm's competitors.

The ideal candidate will be a versatile, enthusiastic graduate or equivalent with strong communication, presentation, organisation and research and analysis skills gained in a legal or other partnership environment. The Senior BD Executive will also possess proven experience of drafting proposal documents and running the tender process. A hunger for winning new business and the ability to operate under pressure and to tight deadlines in a professional services environment will be essential.
