An exciting junior opportunity has arisen in a leading legal firm that is looking for a Marketing Assistant to join their large marketing & BD team.

The role holder will help draft and implement the marketing plans and budgets for different parts of the business and play a key influencing role with partners regarding marketing issues and projects, taking a lead role in executing new ideas and existing initiatives. You will manage and produce marketing literature, both online and in hard copy, and assist with content generation for social media channels, implementing social media strategies and making amendments to the external website and internal news intranet. The Marketing Assistant will plan, manage and attend events, internal and external events, conferences and client seminars for the practice areas to raise their profile in their sectors. There will also be a business development element to the role including research and targeting support of prospective and existing clients and input into pitches and capability statements for clients and targets, compiling and drafting information such as track record.

You will have previous marketing experience gained in a professional services environment, preferably to include time spent working in a law firm and either CIM qualifications or a desire to study for them. It is essential that the Marketing Assistant has good oral and written communication skills and the ability to use initiative whilst working with limited supervision. A positive and proactive approach, excellent IT skills, a strong team player mentality and a willingness to help colleagues whenever required are pre-requisite.
