Lead powerful campaigns that have an impact on the lives of Londoners

Marketing and communications at the Met is a hugely varied challenge. Our campaigns do everything from attracting new police constables, to raising awareness of how the MPS is tackling crime, to encouraging the public to stay safe or take action. This is an exciting opportunity to join an award winning team as a Campaigns & Marketing Manager within our Directorate of Media and Communications (DMC).

The DMC handles all aspects of marketing, media relations and internal communications for the Met. You’ll be part of a small, friendly Marketing team, where you’ll have the opportunity to work on and shape campaigns that really have an impact on the lives of Londoners.  You’ll lead on all elements of campaign delivery from giving briefs and managing production, to attending photo and film shoots. You’ll see each initiative through from start to finish, managing agencies, dealing with budgets, gaining senior officer buy-in and evaluating campaign effectiveness. The goal is to provide the Met with high quality campaigns and provide officers with expert marketing and brand management advice.

An experienced professional, you could have worked in the public or private sector. Either way, you’ll have proven skills and knowledge of project management. You can create integrated communication strategies, use a range of channels and assess the success of campaigns. Plus, you come up with creative solutions to all kinds of communication challenges. With the confidence and credibility to give sound guidance, you’ll be articulate and collaborative, with excellent written skills.
