The role is responsible for research, insight, analytics and market intelligence and supports the wider team with advertising, events and marketing activity. You will support colleagues across all these areas whilst having a particular responsibility for market research and analytics.

The client is a public sector organisation based in Lincoln.


The key responsibilities for the Customer Insights & Analytics Officer include:


Collecting, assimilating and interpreting data, in order to identify changes and forecast trends to inform strategic direction

Responsible for customer insights and analytics to inform the communications and marketing activity of the organisation

Undertake the planning, management and execution of corporate, departmental and market research across the institution and will work closely with colleagues across the Communications, Development and Marketing (CDM) department

Provide advice and guidance within the CDM department and proactively undertake research to provide essential insight into customer behaviour, decision making, competitor activity and the macro and micro environments and to produce regular reports and presentations which may be complex
* Identify and schedule market research activities

* Design research methods such as interviews and questionnaires.

* Carry out qualitative and quantitative research.

* Analyse and draw insights form the research carried out and the information available.

* Agree timescales and deliver projects on time and within budget.

* Analyse and translate data and write timely reports, including recommendations.

* Present results appropriately across the organisation and proactively engage and advise staff on how they can best make use of findings and results.

Deliver a schedule of annual market research activities and reports.


The successful candidate for the Customer Insights & Analytics Officer will be:


Educated to degree level or equivalent experience

Experience of managing complex market research projects which utilise qualitative and quantitative data from a number of different sources

Experience of designing questionnaires and interpreting results

Experience of organising and running focus groups and interviews

Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret statistical data.

Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels both inside and outside the organisation
