The Department for Transport is a high-profile department at the heart of Government. We pride ourselves on first-class, creative communication that tells compelling stories about transport through the people that use it.

We are looking for a talented and confident Digital Content and Community Manager who is able to create audience-centric, insight-driven digital content and engagement strategies in support one of Government’s most successful, award-winning and high-profile communications campaigns – THINK! road safety.

The campaign aims to save lives on our roads by addressing a range of road safety issues, from drink driving and speeding to the use of mobile phones whilst driving. Our ground-breaking Mates Matter strategy focuses on young male drivers aged 17-24, who are five times more likely to be killed or seriously injured on the road compared with drivers over 25. The strategy looks to shift group norms among young males through highly targeted communications and channels, from Instagram stories and influencer activity to working with media and brand partners like LADBible and Heineken.

We are an energetic, ambitious and innovative team. The successful candidate will play a key role in building the digital footprint of the THINK! road safety campaign, driving our creative content forward and helping us to tell engaging stories in a powerful way. This role requires someone with a strategic mindset and a blend of skills in community management, content creation and data analysis.

Do you have:

• Experience of developing and implementing effective strategies on multiple social media channels?

• Proven experience in using creative suites to develop creative content for digital channels?

• A creative and innovative approach to produce digital communications that stand out and leave a lasting impact?

If so then we want to hear from you.
