Client Details

Manufacturing organisation with a UK HQ in the South West and main HQ in Europe.

Delivering products into the health care and retail sectors. More recent established manufacturing plants in China.


The key responsibilities for the Senior Product Manager are:

Main responsibilities

* To plan, implement and deliver to market new products on time and within cost controls

* Plan and develop new product launches including marketing specifications and internal departments product training requirements

* To use market research data to effectively establish clear product pricing plus continuous review of production and sales costs, forecasting and pricing of special and customized items.

* To identify the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing specification and requirements, appraising and adjusting as needed and preparing ROI analyses

* To establish time schedules with design, manufacturing and component partners

* To determine customer needs, product trends and product positioning via high quality research and analysis

* To conduct quality external competitor analysis to accurately assess competition


The successful Senior Product Manager, based in Taunton will have:

Experience and skills

* Educated to degree level

* 5 years solid experience in Product/Project Management within the bathroom industry

* Familiarity with manufacturing processes (assembly, injection, SMC, GRP, RTM) advantageous

* Familiarity of working within a group model and a third-party supplier network

Personal Attributes

* Motivated self-starter capable of working within cross disciplinary teams and mentoring junior members of the team

* Communication skills critical - proven capability in building strong professional relationships with colleagues and core partners

* Commercial intelligence - a clear understanding of the role of product in delivering profit/strategic impact.

* Exceptional organization and communication skills

* Ability to present information in a concise manner to reach quick consensus

* A preparedness to travel when needed - European-wide on occasion.
