This is a great role for a Business Development Senior Executive - International Arbitration. Supporting this leading firm's global International Arbitration practice, you'll work closely with the Senior BD Manager on all aspects of BD and strategy for the practice. It's an exciting role enabling the successful candidate to become a real expert in this growing and strategic practice area, and to work with a dynamic and strategic practice leader who is very supportive of business development, and also a supportive and pro-active Senior BD Manager who is a former partner in the firm.

The Business Development Senior Executive will be a key part of the continued success in building a world-class International Arbitration practice, with responsibility for coordinating and implementing business development activities and supporting strategies across the firm for International Arbitration. The role will work closely and collaboratively with the BD team members for the industry groups involved in International Arbitration and also with the regional marketing personnel in many of the offices globally.

This is a varied role which will appeal to candidates that enjoy multi-tasking, who are able to manage multiple deadlines, and who enjoy direct contact with partners and other lawyers, as well as working as part of a large global BD and Marketing team.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

New Business
New pitch and proposal opportunities, cross-group pitch opportunities and panel reviews, work closely with U.S., EME and Asia counterparts to develop an international approach to International Arbitration BD, in particular, Paris, the U.S., Asia and the UAE.

Planning, Research and Analysis

General Business Development
Prepare practice-related materials, plan and execute events, including special client programs, seminar and webinars, check materials for client presentations, internal training meetings etc. Manage the pitch process for presentations and pitches for all existing clients and prospective clients. Work from time to time with the global PR teams on International Arbitration PR initiatives and profile raising. Manage internal communications, co-ordinating departmental presentations, preparing achievement reports, drafting blog posts and generally helping the International Arbitration practice continue to build and maintain its profile.

Co-ordinate International Arbitration projects and act as a liaison point between the lawyers and wider business development team.

You will be a Business Development professional with at least 3 years' experience, ideally in a law firm or if not, another professional services environment . You will get significant support from others in the team who already have strong legal technical knowledge, in particular the Senior BD Manager who is a former lawyer. You'll have excellent attention to detail and strong organisation skills. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills and willingness to approach senior partners and lawyers with new concepts and ideas, strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and ideally some existing knowledge of the CRM system, strong analytical skills. You'll be able to work collaboratively with people at all levels, including BD colleagues, partners and clients throughout different geographies and time zones. A team player. You'll have a proactive and solutions-based approach as well as a can-do attitude to deliver needs of internal and external clients and be flexible and versatile approach to work and enjoy working with a team with different needs, style and requirements.
