Exceptional consumer insight skills are key for this challenging new role with one of the UKs fastest growing companies, developing and pioneering new consumer propositions in the household food market.  This is an opportunity to join a trailblazing business with huge growth ambitions and a dynamic leadership team.

Working alongside insight, brand, digital and innovation specialists and partner agencies, you’ll use consumer and market insight, trend data smart analytical and creative thinking to help create innovative product and service propositions that delight the company’s rapidly expanding consumer base.   This is a role that is about understanding the voice of the consumer and placing it at the centre of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Using qual & quant insight to understand the consumer base and marketplace, advising key stakeholders on issues affecting strategic decision making
  • Developing external market insights to identify customer opportunities and potential weak spots
  • Translate business needs into cost-effective and appropriate research methodologies
  • Managing ad-hoc insight projects focused on proposition development/testing, including designing & running qual research
  • Managing research relationships with external agencies and internal partners
  • Leading the customer closeness programme to engage internal stakeholders to think customer-first
  • Supporting the brand marketing team on creative development testing & optimisation

Key Skills Checklist

This is a role for a smart, inquisitive insight specialist; someone who can interpret data and spot trends with the ability to explain insights with clarity in a way people truly understand.  With at least 4-5 years’ experience gained in a client-side and/or insight agency/consultancy, your skills will include:

  • Ability to design and execute multiple research projects simultaneously
  • Analytical degree with minimum 2:1 achieved from a top-tier university
  • Experience of in-house research tools & methodologies (on-line sources, surveys, interviews etc.) and experience of managing agency relationships ensuring best business outcomes
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to make persuasive arguments and articulate key messages
  • Enthusiastic, team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build cooperative, productive relationships with internal clients and agencies
  • Demonstrable analytical problem solving and statistical capabilities with the ability to transform analysis and insight into meaningful, storytelling presentations
  • Good working knowledge of Google Suite software.
  • Ideally some experience facilitating focus groups, workshops and/or in-depth interviews
  • Ideally some experience with analytics software tools like SPSS and SQL
