Lead Shopper Marketing Manager opportunity managing a team of 3 tasked with ensuring the customer (consumer and retailer) is kept at the heart of NPD and marketing plans

This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract position so the Lead Shopper Marketing Manager will need to hit the ground running. Managing a relatively junior team of 3, you will represent the voice of the customer and retailer in all things innovation.

Working collaboratively with the brand team, you'll influence and shape the annual marketing plan ensuring bespoke plans for growth channels.

The Lead Shopper Marketing Manager's remit will include

* Responsibility for the shopper budget, ensuring effective return on investment and a strong plan across channels/customers/formats

* Analysing the effectiveness and return on investment of shopper marketing activities and shaping the plans accordingly

* Playing a leadership role in the project teams bringing new products to market, allocating and managing resource for these teams appropriately

* Owning the customer "sell-in" process from creating the story to the development of supporting materials and coordinating the wider Sales & Marketing teams

* Ensuring the excellent execution of NPD at point-of-purchase


The role will be leading a highly capable but relatively inexperienced team so the Shopper Marketing Lead needs to be an excellent, hands-on practitioner of Shopper Marketing.

You don't need to have managed a team but some managerial experience is key as is a genuine passion for people development.

You will have experience of launching innovations on sizeable brands exhibiting the ability to influence and challenge effectively across all levels.

As you'd expect, you need to demonstrate the ability to work at pace juggle multiple projects and stakeholders without compromising on quality.

You'll be working with some fantastic brands so a track record and passion for selling them into retailers is a must.

Salary will be £60,000 - £75,000 depending on experience.
