My client is an internationally established consumer goods business headquartered in Manchester and they're looking to add an Assistant Product Manager to their innovation team. The main purpose of this role is to support the Senior Product Manager with the innovation and development of new products, and the ongoing monitoring and adjustment of current products to ensure maximum profitablity and competitiveness.

You will own:

* Regional understanding of consumer, marketing and competitive insight and be able to translate this into concept and product opportunities.
* Portfolio management for specific projects.
* Competitor and market mapping including use of Nielsen, additionally monitoring performance of new products.
* Weekly marketing reports and internal comms.
* Management of product sample room (Cataloguing samples, physical corporate collateral and back office samples)
* Supporting tools for product development such as mock ups, resource library, product bibles and organisation of artwork.

You will support:

* Support the planning of NPI/D projects.
* Support innovation delivery from full end to end lifecycle.
* Region specific competitive, pricing and profitability analyses to enable the Senior Product Manager to recommend strategies that will improve the business's product

You will shape:

* NPI and NPS processes to drive continuous improvement, and sure that product development has an effective voice in the delivery process.

You will provide:

* Key reports for use within the NPI/NPD process primarily pertaining to budgets, development processes and activity.
