My client, a successful business based near Oswestry is recruiting a FTC Events & Marketing Coordinator to join their dynamic, fast paced Marketing & Events team. If you have some events and marketing experience and can commit to a 14 month maternity contract, then please get in touch!

Key Responsibilities:
Work as part of the Events & Marketing team to deliver a programme of events
Working closely with the in-house marketing and design team, field teams and third party stakeholders, you will ensure our events are a success and delivered within budget
Plan and coordinate events that we manage or attend, including exhibitions and events throughout the UK
Support the delivery of hospitality events
Overall event management through the life of a project, including preparation and management of budgets, timelines and final event reconciliations
Event management and on-site event support, including the management of staff, suppliers and clients on-site
Generate new and creative ideas for our events - from workshop content, through to concepts for an exhibition theme
Create and deliver promotional activity to maximise event attendance, seeking opportunities across marketing channels including online and offline media, printed publications, industry websites, our website and various social media sites
Write engaging copy for press releases and other marketing literature to promote our events
Maintain the booking process for events
Update the company's Content Management System (CMS) to promote our events on our website
Produce and distribute communications internally on the forthcoming timetable of events
Organise sponsorship opportunities with potential event exhibitors to generate income
Liaise with venue-finding agencies to book appropriate event venues and source accommodation for event attendance
Ensure the appropriate materials and equipment are available and packed ahead of each event
General adhoc duties including management of the event telephone line, maintaining stocks of event literature and promotional materials
Develop and maintain a comprehensive archive collection of all event-related material

Skills Required:
Must have proven experience in a marketing services environment, experience of event management and a sound understanding of marketing and design principles
Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple jobs
A confident and clear communicator with good interpersonal skills
Strong idea generation and creative thinking ability
Natural ability to form client facing relationships and confident in managing multiple stakeholders
A marketing qualification (CiM or equivalent) would be an advantage - desirable
Previous experience working within events, marketing and project management within a marketing services environment is essential to this role

Must be immediately available to start work and commit to this FTC contract
Excellent standard of English, both written and oral
Competent in IT, including Microsoft Office
Strong copywriting skills
Driving licence and access to own car is essential
Salary up to £25k
Hours 37.5 hours, Mon-Thurs 9-5.30pm Friday 9-5pm
25 days holiday + bank Holidays
