To lead on Legacy and In-Memory fundraising for a central London charity tackling homelessness, including managing the legacy budget, strategy, marketing and recruitment of new legacy donors.

Client Details

A central London based charity. They work to tackle homelessness through preventative and recovery based approaches, building public awareness and understanding as well as advocating for policy change.


To develop a new Legacy and In-Memory fundraising programme aimed at meeting income targets. Utilising a large budget, you will lead the team in developing Legacy strategy, marketing and recruiting new donors. This will include:

* Refreshing the Legacy programme and strategy with the aim of meeting income objectives

* Developing and implementing Legacy and In-Memory donor communications plans

* Recruiting new staff to fill the Legacy team and managing them

* Developing persuasive Legacy and In-Memory propositions

* Legacy acquisition, through direct marketing and other marketing approaches, including utilising social media, mail and digital channels

* Working with the Individual Giving, Major Donors, Philanthropy and Partnerships programmes to drive Legacy giving

* Monitoring campaign performance to improve future strategy and planning.


You will be a fundraising professional with experience working in Legacy and/or In-Memory fundraising in the not for profit sector. You will have strong ideas including in the digital space and be excited at the chance to develop this programme. Other experience and characteristics:

* Working on or managing donor communications plans

* Creating engaging Legacy and In-Memory propositions

* Direct marketing experience, including mail, social media and digital channels

* Be goal driven with a track record of achieving fundraising targets

* Line management experience (desirable but not essential)

* Collaborate well with other internal teams

* Strong digital experience is desirable

Job Offer

- Permanent opportunity paying £30,000-£40,000 per annum depending on experience
