A large not-for-profit organisation based in South Yorkshire

Due to an increase in activity, my client is actively looking for an interim Director of Marketing & communications on an interim 9month fixed term contract. This is an amazing opportunity to work for a not-for-profit organisation and really make a difference to what they are doing! They are looking for a passionate and inspiring director to increase worthiness, grow brand awareness and drive activation. You will drive and embed cross-team working to ensure they are delivering their brand promise and demonstrating the brand values and behaviours.

Responsibilities

* Working with the heads of marketing, communications, digital and customer engagement and experience to deliver national campaigns to increase worthiness, grow brand awareness and drive activation.
* Oversee the development of plans for communications, brand, marketing, and campaigns which underpin the delivery of organisational success. In particular, support the head of communications to plan and deliver proactive PR programme to increase share of voice in the media.
* Ensure the charity has the capacity and capability to deliver marketing, brand, communications and customer engagement support to meet our ambitions and ensure financial sustainability. In particular:
* Work with multiple stakeholders across the business to ensure marketing and communications is operating in a collaborative and intrinsic manor.
* Work with the senior stakeholders to deliver the £10m campaign
* Ensure CRM and customer experience capability is built, current programmes are stabilised and future plans are being delivered against.
* Be a constant champion of the brand, ensuring strategic alignment, embedding of key behaviours, quality of output and approach (flexible, collaborative, brave).
* Establish clear measures of success for activities and continually monitor, evaluate and report on progress

Personal Profile

* Significant experience across full mix marketing, leading national integrated teams and marketing and communications strategies
* Substantive, successful experience of leading and managing change in a complex organisation. Including demonstrable experience of championing, motivating, supporting and stabilising teams and successful experience of leading, motivating and developing colleagues at all levels.
* A track record of successfully designing and delivering major, multi-channel, response driven communications and marketing campaigns in a complex organisation
* Ability to ensure the voice of people informs everything the charity does
* Strong decision making is insight led and evidence based
* Ability to ensure activities are collectively planned, monitored and evaluated and we constantly learn from our mistakes
* Decisions are transparent and communicated clearly with colleagues across the charity.
