As a communications and engagement manager you will help to lead on various projects. You will also be involved in stakeholder engagement; developing/creating communication products; managing internal and external communications channels; developing media relations, campaign and event planning and promoting the work of the project through effective communication management.

As a Communications, Engagement and project lead you will be involved in the following;

* Lead of high profile projects across various organisations

* Copy-writing - write, edit, proofread and coordinate internal and external content.

* Write press releases, articles, presentations, social media, workshops, videos, e-mails, newsletters and marketing collateral etc., as required.

* Develop digital content for the project including maintaining and developing the

* Produce an online newsletter/briefing for stakeholders providing

* Manage all social media platforms including publishing and monitoring content.

* Management various stakeholder across multiple organisations

* Manage events ranging from engagement and consultation events through to community forums and staff events.

* Manage PR and media relations activity, drafting and pitching press releases, features, briefings and letters for publication; organizing photo opportunities, events and campaigns.

* Provide reputation management advice and media advice.


You will have a strong background in a broad range of communications across a complex organisation

* Professional or postgraduate qualification in public relations, marketing communications or journalism

* 5+ years' experience of working in the PR, communications and engagement field and proven track record of delivery.

* Experience of working across a number of communications channels and functions - engagement and consultation, internal communications, media relations, social media, marketing, events, campaigns, publicity, branding, design, digital and editorial.

* Experience of developing communications and engagement plans for the implementation of a complex programme

* Planning and delivering effective public consultation and engagement and devising new ways of reaching and involving people.

* Able to write, implement effective internal and external communications strategies on complex and challenging issues and aligned to programme aims.

* Writing and producing corporate literature mapped to key programme messages and aims

* Strong relationship management skills

* Specialist knowledge of communications and engagement techniques and approaches.

* High level of skill in using web-based communications, including content management systems, social media, logs and new/emerging digital communications technologies.

* Be able to work flexibly as part of a wider team

* Ability to travel across Yorkshire
* A background working within the NHS or health and social care setting is essential

Job Offer

£32,000 up to £37,570 Full Time Equivalent (up to £22.542 equivalent depending on experience)

22.5 hours per week
