The role is pivotal in elevating the European Marketing capabilities to the next level. Reporting to the General Manager, the key objective is to proceed to the global marketing direction, establish the marketing strategy and propose to the global operation, execute the integrated marketing policy working closely with European Sales, Product Planning and PR.

* Lead, motivate and inspire the European Marketing team creating a vision for the department
* Define the Brand, Product Launch, Digital Media and Media Buying strategies and plans and take responsibility for implementation, operational and commercial control in European markets
* Approve annual operating plans ensuring that they align with the overall strategy
* Take overall responsibility for managing the budgets and avoid asset duplication cost in close cooperation with branches
* Setup measurement processes and monitor European Marketing effectiveness and efficiency
* Build key internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure a continuous quality of agencies deliverables
* Link and co-ordinate with key head office and local branch Managers in particular Sales, PR, Product Planning, Racing, and SP-Flow to achieve an integrated and well accepted Marketing concept
* Ensure marketing code of practice, launch campaign and advertising guidelines as well as corporate identity rules are communicated, respected and monitored
* Be 'centre of excellence' for all markets and key contact for local Marketing managers


* Significant experience required to provide the depth and breadth of knowledge and personal credibility to impact at senior levels
* Significant experience in marketing communications + educated to degree level or equivalent
* Excellent Motorcycle market and business knowledge and experience
* Clear leadership and influencing skills at a senior level in an operational business environment
* Sophisticated mix of creative, leadership and influencing skills
* Proven track record of leading and motivating a team of people
* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills;
* Proven capability to lead and motivate both direct and indirect reports, to challenge substantial change
* Outstanding intercultural management capabilities to drive a European business forward
* Results focused with a proven ability to set and achieve ambitious targets
* Comprehensive understanding of business finance
* Understanding a European business environment from an intercultural management perspective
* Ability to travel in order to keep close market and people contact
* English language skill required, other European languages as an advantage
* Comprehensive understanding and experience in digital media planning and all social network knowhow will be considered as an advantage.
