The Courtauld Institute of Art is the world’s leading centre for the study of the history and conservation of art and architecture. Through its alumni, the Courtauld generates an evolving community of specialists who shape the international art world. The Courtauld also houses one of Britain’s best-loved collections within its Gallery at Somerset House.
The Courtauld is in the early stage of Courtauld Connects, a major £multi-million transformation project to significantly improve teaching and research facilities, enhance the Gallery and widen reach – locally, nationally and internationally. The project will transform The Courtauld’s historic buildings into an accessible estate appropriate for contemporary audiences, improving facilities for academics and curators and greatly enhancing the quality of the experience for visitors, students and staff.
We are now recruiting an ambitious and proven Head of Communications and Marketing to lead on the creation and delivery of a dynamic and inspiring integrated strategy that will generate worldwide positive reputation and brand value for the Courtauld.
The new Head of Communications and Marketing will be responsible for all internal and external communications, including The Courtauld’s press, web and social media presence. Candidates will have a proven track record of working at a senior level in marketing and/or communications and will have a strong background in digital marketing and social media. Experience of creating and maintaining an efficient CRM is strongly preferred, and candidates will ideally bring background in the higher education, and/or cultural and heritage sectors.
