We are a multi award-winning, full service digital, marketing and PR agency based in Milton Keynes. Our local and national clients span sectors as diverse as luxury health spas, engineering, shopping centres, local business' and professional bodies.
The Account Manager Role:
We are looking for an experienced Account Manager (AM) to join our long established full service agency in Milton Keynes. The ideal candidate would preferably have an understanding of all things digital marketing (websites, SEO, PPC, Social Media etc.) as well as PR and more traditional offline marketing techniques.
Reporting to the Account Director in the Client Services Team, in summary the ideal candidate will develop long term relationships with a portfolio of assigned clients, successfully communicating with key stakeholders at all levels, in order to realise maximum earnings. The Account Manager will also liaise between clients and cross-functional internal teams, freelancers and suppliers to ensure the timely and successful delivery of outputs according to client needs, including both digital and offline marketing solutions.
Account Manager Key Duties Include:
Client Focus & Build Relationships: 25% - Be the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your portfolio of assigned clients, building trust, understanding their business and maintaining strong, long term relationships with the key contacts, at all levels, to be able to provide best advice on relevant solutions. Manage the client’s expectations ensuring responses to enquiries are dealt with efficiently within requested deadlines and within agreed time budgets.
Planning & Delivery: 20% - Develop monthly, quarterly and annual plans in tandem with the client and support of specialists from the wider internal team where required and produce written briefs or proposal for sign off and subsequent use by the wider team for project delivery. Work directly with internal teams, freelancers and suppliers to ensure all projects are successfully delivered on time, on brief and on budget and ensure that both the client and internal teams are fully briefed on progress.
Creativity & Ideas Generation: 15% - Develop an understanding of all aspects of the marketing mix across online and offline disciplines and how they can be deployed to achieve a client’s objective(s). Participate in company-wide activities, research and share knowledge to stay at the forefront of industry trends and advancements, working with other members of the internal team to develop an understanding of more specialist disciplines in order to be able to provide best advice to clients and to facilitate identification of up sell/cross sell opportunities.
Business Generation: 20% - Identify new sales opportunities for existing client accounts and participate in new business activity including attending networking events, meetings, writing proposals, preparing presentations and presenting at pitches as required.
Finance and Admin: 20% - Manage costs, deliver against an agreed budget and be accountable for all cost management of assigned projects, including requesting purchase orders for and reconciliation of all third party costs to ensure that all projects achieve the required profit margin. Follow internal processes specific to the client services teams and update all work in progress, forecasting and budget documents and any other documentation as directed from time to time to facilitate the smooth running of the business as required.
+ Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, and have at least 3-5 years’ account management experience in a marketing agency.

This is an office based role, although there will be some offsite meetings, working 5 days per week, Monday to Friday. We are open to either someone looking for school hours (09:00 - 15:00) or full time. Our office opening hours are 09:00 to 18:00 but we offer flexible working around these hours.
+ Holiday Entitlement: 23 days plus Bank Holidays (24 when Christmas Eve falls on a working day). Annual increment after 5 years service.
