Solid experience in FMCG customer or brand marketing or brand activation, is essential for this exciting new role, driving growth in new markets across the Middle East & Africa for a major food & drinks business.  As a key point of contact for local market commercial teams and distributors, you will bring global brand strategies to life in each market - owning the marketing plan and delivering activations, promotions, NPD launches and POS solutions for different brands within the territory.  This will involve building strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders inside and outside the business, including global brand and operations teams and international customers.  Our client is growing rapidly outside its core European markets, exporting to and building a presence in over 50 international markets.

Skills & Experience Checklist

This is a role where your skills, experience and approach are more important than a specific job title, but is likely that you will have demonstrable success driving brand growth in a brand or commercial marketing role within an FMCG or on-trade environment.  Key skills include:

  • A good understanding of grocery retail or on-trade/bar/hotels channels
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to plan and execute marketing activities within each market
  • Ideally, experience working with different channels and/or markets, identifying local needs and adapting global strategies and assets to meet them
  • Managing creative agencies and writing briefs for promotional and display activity
  • The confidence, passion and enthusiasm to build close working relationships with distributors, customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to travel approx 15-20% of time to different markets
  • Ability to multi task and act & deliver at pace in fast paced and volatile business environment
