Looking for driven and dynamic individual to grow the Research & Insight Manager function. Leading the team to success and new methods, this individual will have strong prospects to move into a Director level role.

The key responsibilities for the Market Research & Insights Manager, based in Gloucestershitre will:

* Prepare industry and market reports from a range of data sources

* Analysing data

* Preparing charts

* Writing reports

* Preparing columns for publication in the trade press

* Producing monthly high-profile industry reports such as BMBI (Builders Merchant Building Index) using GfK data. Other new products are planned.

* Maintaining WindowBase, a database of window, door and conservatory installers and fabricators and helping develop planned database products.

* Undertaking ad-hoc bespoke research

* Taking briefs and interpreting client's needs and identifying their problems and the research solutions

* Costing projects

* Writing proposals, following them up and selling alongside colleagues or yourself when required.

* Designing questionnaires

* Monitoring fieldwork and data entry

* Checking data quality

* Data analysis

* Report writing - including the ability to identify and summarise the big picture

* identifying and communicating clear strong recommendations for action

* Presenting results to clients

* Managing and recruiting a team of researchers, and inhouse and external fieldworkers

* Identifying opportunities to sell ad-hoc research services

* Helping to develop new research products and new revenue streams.

* Working closely with marketing and PR colleagues to meet their customers' needs, and on marketing companies Research services

* Achievement of financial targets

* Locating and buying-in external resources


The successful Market Research & Insights Manager, based in South West - Gloucestershire will have:

* At least 5 years' experience in a research role (client-side or agency)

* Strong analytical skills - the ability to interpret data and identify problems and opportunities

* Experience of B2B quantitative research including structured large sample benchmarking and customer satisfaction surveys, brand mapping based on sound methodology producing statistically robust findings, and qualitative research using focus groups.

* Advanced Excel user

* Ideally have SNAP and Microsoft Access experience

* Confident personality when selling services and presenting results

* Good presentation skills

* Strong communication and people skills

* Deadline and detail-driven, but ability to zoom out to see the big picture and zoom in for the detail

* Highly accurate

* Good writing skills

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

* Able to manage time and hit deadlines

* Good at managing and motivating people

* Comfortable working on your own and as part of a team

* Good commercial awareness

* Willingness to travel as required
