Communications Consultant - 2 month contract

A leading Public Sector organisation based in Leeds. Due to an increase in activity my client is looking for a Communications Consultant on a 2month contract. This role is responsible for coordinating and developing the planning, evaluation and reporting process across all communications activities. This is a full communications role across online channels.


* Coordinate and develop the team's administration, planning, evaluation and reporting processes
* Provide communications delivery, planning and evaluation support to senior management, spanning the events, strategic engagement and internal communication discipline
* Support internal and external communications and employee engagement by providing operational support in events and strategic engagement planning and delivery, and internal communications operational delivery
* Actively contribute to the delivery of integrated and aligned communications which reflect the organisation inside, out and the strategic organisational objectives
* Operate and regularly monitor internal communication channels
* Implement best practice in communications and public affairs and produce compelling, integrated, digital content, briefings and messaging to support proactive communications
* Gather and collate insight on the organisations internal and strategic communications engagement and change activity

Personal Profile

* Effective interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written
* Experience of developing communication plans to support business objectives, and taking ownership of their delivery from start to finish
* Knowledge of internal communications, event or event management, or public affairs, grounded in theory and practical experience.
* Expert ability to select, use and evaluate internal communication and engagement channels including intranet, internal social media, events etc
* Ability to work with and influence senior leaders, managers and staff at all levels
* Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate activity across a range of areas and gather analytics
* Your experience of working with other communications and marketing practitioners in a multi-channel environment, with exposure to and involvement in the creation of campaigns
* Experience of gathering and managing communication metrics to tell a clear picture of communications activity and its impact
