My client is an internationally recognised business renowned for the manufacturing and production of quality consumer goods sold into multiple sectors. They have a proud heritage where innovation has always been at the heart of the business. Due to substantial growth they are now looking for a Product Manager to support the management of a highly successful Spare Parts Department and will play a key role in ensuring their customer base receive an exceptional after-sales service.


Description

The role requires excellent man-management skills to ensure the Spare Parts Team deliver outstanding results. This is a key role working with the Spare Parts Manager to ensure effective implementation of all merchandising, stock holding, pricing and supplier policies within a complex business environment.

The Product Manager's responsibilities will include:

* Lead and develop a multi-functional team to deliver outstanding results.

* Implementation of agreed merchandising strategy that incorporates a product portfolio that delivers net achieved margins, in line with the company's overall business plans.
* Ensure effective management of spare parts supply to include stock holding, slow moving and obsolete stock.
* Management of all escalated customer issues, to include investigation and resolution.
* Implementation of agreed pricing strategy across all markets - maintaining net margins at all times.
* Drive forward the use of IT business systems to enhance divisional efficiency and deliver results.
* Investigate competitor activity, marketing trends and external factors to identify future requirements and opportunities for product development.
* Ensure divisional team achievement of KPI's to achieve Company SLA's.
* Assist Spare Parts Manager with all key supplier contracts. Responsibility for maintaining all non-key supplier relationships.
* Multi-product customer liaison cover for all spare parts controllers.

* Proven track record of good man-management skills
* Strong product knowledge from a technical/engineering background
* Llamasoft Optimiza software experience would be advantageous
