The Public Relations Officer is responsible for the writing and planning of all company press releases and for taking ownership of the companies charity initiatives. Reporting to the PR & Communications Manager and working as part of the PR & Social Media team.

Description

As the Public Relations Officer your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:



* Assisting the PR & Communications Manager in the development and delivery of the yearly PR strategy

* Liaising with national and regional press from senior to assistant level on a weekly basis to build strong, rewarding relationships

* Identify opportunities for product placements and features in the UK, USA & IRE

* Writing and scheduling bi-weekly press releases to coincide with campaigns and compiling visual assets for all three territories.

* Working with the PR & Communications Manager & photo shoot team to produce seasonal look books and campaigns

* Managing all celebrity and influencer activity including collaborations, appearances and gifting

* Planning and managing mid-season showroom events, seasonal press days and the annual summer road show

* Working closely with online team to feed content through social media channels

* Management of long and short lead desk visits x 4 times a year with key press

* Taking ownership of all charitable initiatives, including organising fundraising events throughout the year

* Producing bi-monthly newsletter on all CSR news

* Ensuring the contacts database is up-to-date

* Producing weekly and monthly reports for leadership team including coverage, bench-marking and reporting on all PR activity

* Championing the companies B corp status throughout the business, bringing teams together in a variety of activities that cement the company ethos


Profile

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the below skills and attributes:

* Proactive with a can-do outlook

* Stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships quickly

* An interest in ethical standards, uphold the companies B Corp principles

* A proven track record of working cross functionally

* Communication champion

* Take ownership, often juggling multiple tasks with the ability to prioritise workload

* Events management experience
