Great opportunity to join this established membership body as Events and Public Affairs Manager and work directly with the Marketing and Communications Director on defining and implementing the Events and Public Affairs strategies.

This role would suit an experienced Events Manager with interest in the world of public affairs, looking to progress their career with a successful, widely recognised organisation during an exciting time of change and growth.

Main responsibilities:

* Development, planning and implementation of national events to support members' engagement
* Develop structured processes and communications plans for each event
* Track, measure an assets s all activities relating to events and their promotion
* Create and upgrade brand materials to use for presentations, collateral and other literature
* Create and maintain a target lists of members and prospects to ensure events are appropriately targeted
* Collate, analyse and report on attendee data
* Manage relationships and contracts with event suppliers
* Staying informed about relevant public policy issues, legislation and debates
* Create policy positioning and messaging on public policy questions
* Act as a main point of contact with the public affairs agency reviewing and monitoring its performance
* Establish relationships with key government department and agencies
* Circa 80% of the role will focus on Events Management

Requirements for the role:

* Minimum 5 years' experience of events management and event marketing
* Good knowledge of and interest in UK politics and public policy issues
* Strong written and verbal communications skills
* Experience in dealing with key stakeholders
* Excellent presentation skills combined with the ability to influence senior management
* Great organisational skills, to deliver to deadlines
* Team player with exceptional analytical skills and can do attitude
* Advanced IT skills
