The Souths business development team is responsible for supporting the development, delivery and monitoring of strategic marketing and business development initiatives in the regions. The Business Development Coordinator will be responsible for the administration, coordination and support of the marketing and business development activities across reading and Basingstoke.

Description

The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for the below duties:

* Support the delivery of approved business development plans, regularly checking progress and ensuring activities are delivered within budget

* Coordinate and deliver an effective events programme, taking responsibility for the management, invitations, administration and attendance
* Assist in the preparation, creation and coordination of bids and presentation material, ensuring the documents meet brand guidelines and are fit for purpose

* Support the development of a credentials bank and bid centre

* Support and deliver sponsorship and joint initiatives with intermediaries and other third parties, liaising with them as appropriate

* Ensure national campaigns are communicated and used effectively


Profile

For the Marketing Coordinator role, the desired skills set would be as below:

* A professional with understanding and awareness of marketing and business development, preferably with some academic or professional experience

* Understand the fundamentals of the business development process, digital marketing and best practice communications

* A professional and confident communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels within the firm

* Commercial understanding and awareness

* proactive and self-motivated individual who takes ownership of initiatives

* Excellent attention to detail
