The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for designing and implementing the daily flow of timely updates, news and organisational communications across the organisation, between offices, partners and the international head office. Ensure all existing internal communications, technologies and resources are well utilised and managed to improve cross-organisational communications and messaging in delivering the global mission.

The client is an International organisation working for humanitarian relief.


The key responsibilities for the Internal Communications Manager include:

* Build an internal communications strategy to deliver transformative and measured change in improving communications between offices, partners and strategic business units.

* Lead the development of the organisation's internal communications strategy working with the Head of Publication and Operations to implement the plan.

* Ensure that all internal communications, information and resources are shared across the Group in a timely and accurate fashion, is up-to-date, easy to access and meets high quality standards.

* Ensure all staff are kept informed and updated on global activities for the Group, ensuring best practise and engagement from all levels.

* Take leadership for organising global working groups as per the Global Strategy, and act on behalf of Divisions / Departments for initiatives that require organisation-wide staff engagement and consultation in an impactful and coordinated fashion.


The successful candidate for the Internal Communications Manager will be:

* Working knowledge of building, administrating and applying intranet systems such as Sharepoint, Yammer or equivalent operational system
* Experience of managing internal communications in a complex organisation
* Experience of developing and implementing internal communications
* Experience in training and supporting communications and non-communicators to create key messages and deliver engaging and timely communications with fellow colleagues
* Proven experience of writing copy for a variety of audiences across a range of media including digital and print
* Strong working knowledge of window based software packages, intranet content management system and collaborative working tools for internal communications
