My client is a rapidly expanding Professional Services business based in Manchester, are now looking to recruit for a Marketing Manager. This is a new position due to extensive growth within the business.
We are looking for a self-motivated marketing professional to join the team, in a stand alone marketing role, whilst being involved in the strategic direction of the brand and marketing for the company.

Key Responsibilities:
Refining and championing the brand both internally and externally
Ensuring brand consistency (across all digital and print media, including events)
Producing and carrying out a social media following growth strategy
Managing social media platforms and promoting events in the media and on social platforms
Overseeing updates and ensuring brand consistency (technical updates will be done by senior managers)
Planning PR campaigns and strategies whilst monitoring the public and media's opinion of the brand
Self-generation of "newsworthy" stories, thinking creatively and using topical hooks to gain favourable coverage and brand identity
Developing and nurturing relationships with journalist from key vertical media, National and Regional Media
Planning and overseeing production of all marketing materials for events (brochures, leaflets, branded merchandise)
Managing and overseeing the production of PDF newsletters
Overseeing production of branded stationery and other materials
Liaising with suppliers for stationery, promotional materials, banners etc.
Managing all aspects of the website with the assistance of the senior managers.
Producing analytics reports and using social media and other channels to increase brand reach and recognition (though the site)
Make minor amends to the website content (excluding the blog) using WordPress
Producing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and costs)
Manage staff responsible for event coordination activities.
Preparing and sending out invitations
Managing social media platforms and promoting events in the media and on social platforms
Attending events and liaising looking after VIPs
Post-event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports for event stakeholders)
Preparing promotional materials/packs to be given out at events

Skills Required:
Must have experience across the full marketing mix
Experience of working in a legal or professional services sectors - desirable
Must have experience of working in a stand alone marketing or looking to step you from a marketing executive to a manager
An understanding of branding
Experience in managing social media channels at a professional level
Ability to write and prepare press releases, speeches and presentations
Ability to adapt tone of writing (copywriting ability)
Must demonstrate first class interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise workloads
Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of projects
Must be able to work on own initiative and also as part of a team
Competent with all relevant IT materials, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Some events management experience
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator/indesign
Experience working with WordPress, Google Analytics or MailChimp - desirable
Knowledge (or understanding) of SEO - desirable
