Product Manager - £30,000 - Wallingford

Your new company
You will get to work in a brand new role for an industry leading manufacturer based in Wallingford that boasts a product portfolio that covers over 15,000 articles.

Your new role
You will be expected to investigate, select and develop additional or amended products which will include the sourcing of external products. You will do this through; providing accurate information on potential market sector, detailing products already available from competitors, including pricing and examining where new products fit into and enhance existing range. Within this role you will also be expected to provide accurate sales forecasts on new products and achieve sales and profit targets on allocated accounts. You will need to stay on top of managing and supporting purchasing, testing, marketing, training of new products within agreed timescales and on budget. Another duty that this role will incorporate is communicating with customers through various means such as; phone, site visits and demonstrations.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will need to continually study the marketplace, to ensure products match with changing requirements and gain information from Sales Teams to establish a need for additional or updated products within the range and this will actually involve attending trade shows. Along with this you will also need to maintain overall control of new products to ensure maximum margins and production within agreed timescales. There will be lots of communications required in this role through various means, such as; providing forecasting for products and ensure this information is shared with Management team and other relevant staff. In terms of communications, you will also need to effectively liaise with the Technical Team, Purchasing Team, Commercial Team and Marketing Team.
