Full Time, Fixed-Term

We are seeking to appoint a talented and dynamic individual to come and join us at the University of Salford as an Assistant Marketing Manager.

This is a key role which will contribute to the development and implementation of the University’s strategic priority to develop and nurture outstanding relationships between the University and industry in all aspects of our business, from co-creation of the curriculum and producing job-ready graduates, to research, consultancy and knowledge exchange. You will be supporting colleagues in the marketing team, the Industry Collaboration Team, and the wider Marketing, Recruitment and External Relations directorate, taking responsibility for key projects and campaigns to drive industrial collaboration and student recruitment, whilst also deepening existing relationships and strengthening the University’s profile.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and in close collaboration with colleagues in the Industry Collaboration team, you will support the creation of marketing campaigns for an external audience, combined with the delivery of marketing plans to internal clients across the University. Key target markets include business and industry, the academic research community and the Salford regional community as well as existing and potential students.
You will work within a dedicated budget and work with agencies as required, to deliver against both University-wide, school specific and industry collaboration KPIs. Your remit will span all aspects of marketing including event promotion and content generation.

You will have relevant experience project managing multiple large-scale campaigns and events; working across the full marketing mix, including the delivery of integrated, measurable solutions in the digital and social media space, and you will enjoy developing relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. This role is an ideal opportunity for a passionate marketer looking for in-house experience in a complex organisation.

Closing Date: 17th February 2019, 23.59.

All appointments will be made on merit, and as an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons.

In recognition of our commitment to create a diverse team that draws from our widest talent pool we would particularly encourage applications from groups who are currently under-represented at this level, which in this case is our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) applicants.

Closing Date: 17th February 2019, 23.59.
