Digital Content Editor
£29,344 - £30,813
Job Ref: 1324
Bristol

As the new independent regulator for higher education, it`s our job to ensure that students from all backgrounds have a fulfilling experience of higher education that enriches their lives and careers. We`re looking for a Digital Content Editor to make sure our website and other digital content is well-planned, engaging and - crucially - useful and easily understandable to our key audiences.

We are looking for someone to help develop, implement and manage the Office for Students` (OfS`s) approach to digital. The successful candidate will help to embed content design as a way of sourcing and creating content across the organisation. No day will be the same, but you can expect to be involved in planning, drafting, editing and publishing digital content to a high standard, as well as working with our student information and engagement team to develop online student information. You`ll need to be adept at building relationships with colleagues across the organisation, working as part of the Digital Publishing Team to create a culture of `digital first`.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of digital technologies and how they can be used to communicate effectively with different audiences. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as being an organised and flexible project manager.

This is an exciting, varied and challenging role in a supportive team, and a great opportunity for someone looking to move to a new, high-profile and important organisation. We offer a flexible working environment, access to the civil service pension scheme and a host of other benefits.

The role is full time; however, we will consider job share and part time applicants (minimum 0.6 FTE).

Bristol based, however some travel may be required.

Closing date: 2355 on 14 February 2019.
Shortlist: 20 February 2019.
Interview date: 28 February 2019.
