I'm pleased to be partnering with a global brand in the careers transition, talent and outplacement space, currently seeking an experienced Bid Manager to manage tender submissions in this newly created and much needed role!

The successful candidate will be an experienced Bid Manager or similar and have proven commercial acumen, ideally with an APMP certification.

Your role will be to manage the end to end Bid Management process, from opportunity qualification to contract award, incorporating value proposition, strategy development, commercial considerations, partner identification and risk management.

You will be responsible for implementing all bid procedures, governance and processes, requiring the proven ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines! Strong people and expectation management skills are crucial to the role.

About the role:

* Managing the bid qualification process for new opportunities.
* Managing virtual bid teams and inputs from a range of stakeholders, e.g. sales, marketing, subject matter experts, finance, commercial, legal and delivery teams.
* Monitoring forecasted opportunities and attending Early Marketing Engagement meetings.
* Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final pricing to the customer.
* Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process.
* Contributing to the written proposal in terms of content and formatting and working with team members to ensure the consolidation of each section.
* Producing and delivering compliant, professional and commercially sound proposals within defined time-frames.
* Owning document management and controlling best practice for bid management.
* Tracking and scoping opportunities through internal tracking systems and communicating to operations teams, allowing them to plan for the pipeline.
* Maintaining master document sets and ensuring consistent branding for all company specific documents.
* Arranging both internal and external post-bid reviews.

About you:

* Proven knowledge of and experience in the commercial bid process with applied experience.
* Knowledge of bid software and database management.
* Able to articulate information in a coherent, compelling way.
* APMP Practitioner or Professional level.
* Able to plan, produce and deliver compliant proposal documents within a complex business environment.
* Experience in attending proposal kick-off meetings, storyboard sessions, review meetings, document reviews, managing governance and sign-off, print production and delivery of the completed proposal.
* Thorough proof-reading skills and an eye for detail.
