Description

Responsibilities of the role include the following:



Strategy

* Develop and adapt marketing strategies aligned with the brand strategy with a clear vision for the UK business.
* Supporting the creation of a channel and category strategy.
* Have a clear transparent promotional calendar which supports customers' activities.
* Communicating this strategy to the Marketing and Commercial teams.
* Executing the customer marketing plan across the region.
* Driving brand awareness across various categories and brands.
* Improve value efficiency with all projects to maximise AGP contribution with a focus on achieving UK regional budget.

Operational

* Support both Commercial and Marketing departments in the areas of business information, category management, channel visibility materials and trade presentations.
* Initiate and manage category management projects with customers;
* Work on key strategic projects with customers, aiming to influence purchasing behaviour, drive in-store activity for the brand portfolio, and support the sales effort in the creation and implementation of innovative and effective trade support activities.
* Perform ad hoc analyses, shopper research projects and trade communications
* Attending and presenting at trade shows and events on behalf of the business.
* Attending customer meetings.
* Coordinating the creation and delivery of marketing materials and content.
* Identify and monitor competitors, researching market conditions.
* Independently develop and initiate space management projects.
* Reporting on data and industry trends relating to trade categories.

Relationship

* Collaborate with all departments. Ability to display initiative and interpersonal skills, and able to work with cross-functional groups across multiple levels of the organization to deliver results.
* Contribute to build a strong relationship between the Commercial and Marketing teams.
* Work closely with all Channel heads.
* Ability to engage customers and add value during commercial meetings.
* Develop strong relationships with customers' marketing teams.
* Work with agencies and provide clear concise briefs.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

* Strong commercial outlook and an ability to drive revenue growth through marketing.

* A previous track record in coordinating and managing trade related activities with marketing and sales, supporting category development, NPD launches, delivering tools and presentation materials for customer meetings.

* A track record in analysing market data, building insights, and utilising data systems, preferably Kantar and EPOS systems.

* Ability to demonstrate creativity in delivering activities (e.g. promotions and POS) to add value in line with brand objectives.

* Track record in clearly articulating marketing strategies and goals to the sales organization to influence sales tactics and strategies.

* Previous industry experience preferred ideally within a related category. Ultimately, will move into a channel specific focus.

* Highly motivated and passionate about the trade, categories and brands.
