As such, we’re looking to recruit an exceptional Head of Marketing and Communications who is results-focused and can work with drive, passion and energy to promote the vision and values of Glasgow Life. 

You will advise on the strategic positioning of the organisation including managing the Glasgow Life and People Make Glasgow brands alongside providing a creative vision which balances the importance of the social impact of Glasgow Life with our commercial needs. You’ll lead the development and implementation of Glasgow Life’s marketing communications strategy, including our UK and international destination marketing activity, and work with key partner agencies to support the delivery of Glasgow’s Tourism and Visitor Plan to 2023.

Leading a large and diverse team of knowledgeable, skilled and motivated colleagues you’ll instil a high performance culture and ensure a consistent delivery of service as well as developing an engaging internal communications platform for all Glasgow life staff. 

As well as being a leader in the field of marketing and communications, you’ll be a strategic thinker with excellent business judgement and the ability to step back and look at the long-term vision. You’ll have significant experience delivering across a complex multi-service product portfolio. Your people skills will be second to none and you’ll be comfortable communicating and influencing at director and board level, in addition to growing networks and building partnerships with key stakeholders across the public, private, third and academic sectors.
