An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an international legal firm as a Business Development Executive offering support to the Digital Business and Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors. The role holder will be based in either the firm's London or Bristol office.

You will support the Digital Business and Life Sciences and Healthcare Business Development Lead in proactively building and enhancing the groups through business development, client relationship development and marketing. The Life Sciences and Healthcare group is growing in size and focus and, as a smaller and establishing sector, you will support the BD lead in helping to build the group's global footprint and international approach. As an experienced BD Executive looking to take a step forward in their career, you will need to be ready and able run projects without day to day input and lead and be able to proactively engage with fee earners to advise them on effective BD. Reporting to the BD lead, the role holder will be supported by a BD Assistant and will assist in delivering marketing plans, agreed with the BD Manager, detailing marketing activities, budget requirements and performance measurements. The Business Development Executive will enjoy a varied role incorporating firm-wide campaigns, thought leadership, marketing collateral, digital online content, social media, award entries and events. On the Business Development side, the successful candidate will also provide support to the sector CRM programme and assist with selected pitches, ensuring best practice in opportunity assessment and pitch management.

The ideal candidate for the role of Business Executive will be well educated with a background in a similar role within a legal or professional services environment, enabling the role holder to hit the ground running. Exceptionally organised, with a good eye for detail and excellent communication skills, you must have the ability to build excellent rapport with both the sales and marketing and legal teams and be confident in briefing partners and lawyers on sales and marketing initiatives.
