The Internal Communications Manager will need to be an excellent communicator with responsibility for facilitating the flow of information across the firm through various channels. To be successful in this role it is essential that you excel at constructively challenging ideas where appropriate and at providing solutions. The role holder will work closely with the HR team to effectively communicate policies and change programmes and will provide strategic advice on the creation and direction of the internal communications function and on the most appropriate channels and best practice methods for the delivery of communications. You will be tasked with the development of an internal communications strategy aligned to the delivery of the firm's overall objectives and will manage the development and delivery of a range of day-to-day internal communications needs across the firm. The successful applicant will also work closely with the PR and external communications functions to identify and communicate key firm wide messages including succession news, crisis management, firm financials and relevant press releases and also with the marketing and events team to produce successful firm wide events including town halls and an annual firm wide conference. The provision of drafting, proofing and editorial assistance as required will constitute an important element of the role.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with outstanding written and oral communication skills and a keen eye for detail including strong proof reading skills. You should thrive whilst working under pressure and be able to adopt a flexible approach to multi-tasking, developed whilst working in a professional services environment. Energetic, enthusiastic, strategic, proactive and tenacious and capable of identifying, developing and gaining support for firm wide initiatives, it is also essential that the Internal Communications Manager has the gravitas to establish credibility quickly at senior levels.
