Public Affairs Adviser , £34,000 , Based in Central London

Your new company
I am currently recruiting for a leading membership organisation located in the centre of London. The organisation is a new and exciting membership. They are looking for an energetic and ambitious Public Affairs Adviser to join their fast-growing team This role would be ideal for a communications executive looking to laterally progress within the membership sector.
In particular you will:

* Support the policy activities of the organisation, ensuring that the organisations outputs have appropriate influence.
* Oversee the organisations wider public affairs activity. You will work with colleagues to develop a coherent overall programme of public affairs activity.
* Maintain targeted links amongst Lords and MPs of all parties.
* Support the Policy Centre Senior Manager on a range of other activities to build the influence and profile of the organisation and Policy Centre's work.

Your new role
As the Public Relations Adviser you will be drafting and actioning stakeholder engagement and campaign strategies with guidance from the Head of Marketing and Communications, including gathering stakeholder intelligence and data for stakeholder mapping to raise the profile of the organisation in the UK Parliament and with key political / policy influencers and to promote the policies. You would organise public affairs events including overseeing the organisations presence at party conferences and the parliamentary reception

What you'll need to succeed
An ideal person would have; In this role you will act as the organisations Public Affairs professional and work to shape and deliver public affairs strategy and programme across the organisation. A successful candidate would be required to have experience in;

* Supporting policy colleagues to deliver those strategies to achieve, maximum, impact, including as appropriate meetings, events and a range of materials.
* Delivering coherent, joint messages through the Policy Centre, and collaborative public affairs activities.
* Overseeing the organisations wider public affairs activity.
* Undertaking preparation of documents, briefings and speeches (in particular for the President) to support external affairs activities.
