We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented PR & Marketing Manager to help drive growth and build brand awareness at our innovative & industry changing start up. The Marketing Manager will help drive the development and execution of the launch and our on going marketing efforts.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with an understanding of multiple marketing channels and have experience launching and growing scalable start ups. In particular we are looking for an experienced Brand Marketing Manager with rich digital /eCommerce / retail marketing experience. A passion for ethical business and the planet is favoured.
We are not your average footwear start-up. We have identified several issues in the footwear industry that need changing. From opaque supply chains lacking transparency and low quality over priced products to serious environmental issues and poor retail experiences. It is our mission to create well designed, responsibly made footwear, using innovative materials and selling at an accessible price. We know buzzwords like ethical and sustainable are nothing new in the footwear industry, but we have something truly different.
We will innovate the global footwear market, designing solutions for both our customers and the planet. Launching with a shoe for everyday wear, that not only looks incredible but will surpass expectations of comfort, quality and functionality. We’ve spent the last year designing and making prototypes, building the brand and putting in place an incredible team. We are now looking to grow the team to take our ideas, vision and product to the next level and prepare us for launch.
Marketing Manager Role & Responsibilities:
+ Lead and execute marketing strategy, from brand messaging and creative to e-commerce management and optimisation to customer acquisition and retention
+ Develop and execute performance marketing strategy across search, social, programmatic display, and email marketing, driving cost-effective new customer growth and healthy retention rates
+ Manage relationships with external partners and agencies and partners for paid media, SEO, Shopify development, etc.
+ Develop and execute strategies designed to increase repeat rate and customer lifetime value, including email marketing, referral, loyalty, etc.
+ Manage email marketing strategy with the goal of driving traffic and revenue — including, but not limited to, email acquisition strategies, segmentation, creative and content development, A/B testing, etc.
+ Analyse campaign data to continuously optimise and improve campaign performance
+ Lead internal reporting, tracking KPIs across all marketing channels on a weekly and monthly basis and providing actionable insights to the management team
+ Use marketing performance data to inform the development of testable new strategies
+ Develop and implement an SEO strategy to drive high-quality organic traffic
+ Oversee the website and eCommerce platform (Shopify), developing tactics designed to increase traffic and conversion, from landing pages to SEO updates to e-commerce funnel optimisations
+ Manage organic social channels with the goal of driving brand awareness and engagement
The Ideal Candidate:
+ 360 marketeer
+ 5+ years of managerial marketing experience
+ Experience working with Start-Ups
+ Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise
+ A strategic thinker, with a proven track record of delivering innovative & creative, targeted marketing campaigns
+ Highly organised and excellent attention to detail
+ Creative thinker, self starter, excited to contribute new ideas and help develop the brand
+ An innovator, ambitious and a straight talker
+ Hard working with a no task is too small attitude
+ Proactive, self-confident, highly motivated team player
