I am currently recruiting for a central government organisation within the Energy Sector. They are looking for an energetic Internal Communications Officer to join their organisation to support, develop and implement their internal communications strategy in line with the organisations objectives. this is an ideal opportunity for an Internal Communications professional looking for a new challenge role with a great scope for autonomy over internal communications materials.

Your new role

You will be responsible for:

* Supporting development and implementation of the internal communications strategy
* Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications channels, such as a staff intranet, company presentations and regular staff newsletter
* Ensure the successful delivery of all internal communications in accordance with the communications plan
* Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organisation liaising with the external communications team where necessary with any external messaging

* Manage the content of the LinkedIn Company page
* Lead on the management of the Charity as part of the organisations CSR.
* Develop communications and engagement strategies for this purpose
* Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly
* Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for company-wide presentations to employees in written or spoken form
* Provide a framework for effective communication channels and processes, which ensure people have access to the information they need to do their jobs effectively.
* Managing SMT meetings and bulletins and any communications associated with change management initiatives
* Managing lunch and learns, coffee and learns, CEO/HRD coffee mornings and pizza lunches focus groups, staff engagement survey, newsletter and the intranet, wellbeing campaigns, etc.
* Ensure the employee engagement survey is communicated and completed across the organisation and the resulting actions are defined and implemented
* Encourage and drive two-way communication across the business
* Be prepared to develop ad-hoc communications on an as needs basis, such as client meetings or webcasts

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an Internal Communications professional with 2-5 years' experience in a similar role within the public sector with:

* Knowledge of digital and social media tools and how they can be used to connect
* and positively influence engagement
* Extensive experience in engaging with staff over numerous different platforms and channels such as intra
* Understands internal communications and employee engagement best practice
* Uses fresh thinking, creative ideas, turning complex information into clear proposals and engaging content for internal audience
* Capable of engaging and building credible relationships with senior internal stakeholders
* Maturity and flexibility to thrive under changing demands and competing priorities
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills with exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
