This is a great opportunity for someone who is ambitious; who is looking to take the next step up in their BD career, hungry for a role where they can make a big impact, working for a very prestigious law firm as a Business Development & Marketing Manager, providing dedicated support to the Competition & Tax Practice Group.
Working with partners and leadership to develop client growth opportunities across a range of industry sectors, you'll work closely with the Business Development team to support firm-wide, office and practice client targeting initiatives through proactive relationship management, client and industry research and opportunity spotting. You will support practice campaigns, including internal and external messaging, roll-out and evaluation. There will be opportunities to take the lead on mid-sized marketing initiatives as well as gain experience as part of a team launching major thought leadership campaigns.
You'll support live pitches, through research and the collation, drafting and formatting of information in response to RFP or ITTs, take part in rehearsals, report and analyse pitch activity, and direct feedback with the client and support the development of pitch/capability/CV templates.
Working alongside the London events team you'll also help deliver a targeted programme of client seminars, roundtables, workshops for the Competition & Tax group.
In addition, you'll support the practice group to identify and implement external profile raising opportunities, including the co-ordination of directory submissions (Chambers, Legal 500, ITR), award submissions and client alerts, support internal profile raising opportunities, leading on the deal collection process for league tables, maintaining mailing lists for the Competition & Tax practice in InterAction and maintenance of the Competition & Tax BD intranet page.
You will also work with BD colleagues across the office to identify and promote opportunities for collaboration and continuous improvement and undertake other business development tasks, including budgets and research as required.
The ideal candidate will have several years' work experience in a professional services environment, with experience gained in Marketing and/or Business Development, possess excellent academics, have strong project coordination and time management skills, who can demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter and has the ability to deal with people at all levels, including partners and fee earners. You will be able to present ideas and views clearly and with confidence, have a strong sense of commerciality, with excellent MS Office skills and InterAction skills desirable and who respects and enjoys the diversity of cultural, social and academic backgrounds.
