Digital Communications Manager, paying up to £234 PAYE, London based, 12 month contract ASAP start.

You will be working for a transport organisation at the heart of London's travel.

Your new role

You will be responsible for deciding the appropriate email communication to TfL customers and users to support the operational business and marketing communications. This includes identifying the customer and use case, the correct target audience based on customer and user behaviours, the communication content and the timing of delivery.

Key responsibilities:

Manage the end to end planning and delivery of TfL emails to inform customers and users about TfL by using the TfL Email Service Platform for engaging, targeted, accurate and timely messages

* Provide expert advice to colleagues about effective email communications
* Work with colleagues from across the organisation to ensure coordinated and consistent messages to customers and users
* Ensure that TfL data is used to its full potential ensuring appropriate and targeted email messages
* Analyse the performance of email communication using data and customer feedback to ensure that they are as effective as possible and advise the business on any improvements that can be made
* Create close working relationships with key members of the Customer Communications Team and operations teams to understand the communications objectives and operational requirements in order to plan effective campaigns
* Ensure that messages follow best practice
* Ensure that all data is held and used in compliance with all UK and EU regulations

What you'll need to succeed

* Excellent understanding of email delivery
* Good understanding of UK and EU data and privacy law
* Understanding of data profiling, segmentation, and propensity modelling
* Good knowledge of data briefing, targeting and reporting
* Understanding of email marketing principles, best practice and latest developments
* Knowledge of HTML & CSS in regards to email template creation and especially responsive design principles
* Good level of numeracy and understanding of customer databases
