REED Marketing & Creative are pleased to be working with a prestigious client based in Cheltenham on a fantastic new job within their Marketing & Communications team. The job is for a Head of Marketing - Digital, Content & PR managing a substantial team of 30+ and responsible for a £1.9m overall budget.

The role will be responsible for the planning and delivery of high quality, consistent, and innovative content and campaigns, which engage all of their customers, stakeholders, and staff, through the channels which resonate with them. The role holder will develop strategies which secure the organisations' reputation and brand, and support business growth.

The ideal candidate will have senior level marketing experience gained from both public and commercial sectors and have a strong digital marketing background with a keen focus on keeping abreast with emerging digital technologies and capabilities. The role focuses on engaging young people so you must be able to understand the youth audience and how they engage on from a digital perspective, but also there is a strong commercial element to the role so B2B Marketing skills is also of equal importance.

The person will also be adept at putting together a clear and defined marketing strategy which encompasses the digital, content and PR, and one which defines the corporate messages, integrating all of the marketing team together and focusing on clear and achievable goals and results. You will be improving efficiencies of an already successful team and be focused on monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing and PR activities to optimise channel usage.

* Significant experience in marketing communications and PR leadership roles, including strategy formulation, planning, and execution to achieve strategic goals.
* A proven track record of driving growth in market share, through the creation and delivery of multichannel engagement campaigns.
* Experience and understanding of contemporary digital and offline channels, and the application of technologies, tools, and systems to optimise the delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of campaigns and strategies.
* Experience of handling proactive and reactive stories with the national media, with excellent news insight about how a story is likely to run, and the strategies and handling tactics to achieve desired messaging and outcomes.
* A passion for understanding customer need and motivations, and a proven ability to deliver high quality services to internal and external customers.
* A strong people leader, with a proven track record in motivating, nurturing, and developing teams to deliver consistently high performance.
* Outstanding interpersonal and relationship skills, with the credibility, tact, and skill to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of senior staff, customers, partners, and media professionals.
* Demonstrable experience in planning, budgeting, and delivering efficiencies and process improvements, to maximise value for money.
* Proven experience of leadership in crisis communications desirable
* Political awareness, and a proven ability to identify and evaluate opportunities and risks, providing proactive strategic advice on positioning and messaging
