Temporary PR and Press Manager role based in Leicester City Centre paying £17.19 p/h

Your new company
A leading Further Education provider within Leicester are looking for a creative Press and PR Manager.

Your new role
You will be joining a dynamic communications team, taking the lead on raising the profile for the organisation as well managing a PR Officer.

The organisation are working hard to raise their profile and strengthen awareness of their work and impact. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating media initiatives with key stakeholders and providing expert PR support. You will have the opportunity to write, coordinate and issue media releases, briefing materials and features as well as organising and managing press visits. Part of your role will include liaising with clients and staff to set up PR opportunities, as well as leading on monitoring and evaluation.


What you'll need to succeed

* A degree (or equivalent qualification) or relevant professional experience within communications, journalism, in-house PR team*
* Understanding of the HE and Education sector*
* Experience of media managing controversial, challenging or complex issues and campaigns*
* Experience of working with and pitching to a range of journalists with a track record of securing high profile media coverage.*
* Skilled in writing effective copy, together with excellent editing and proof reading, with a strong attention to detail*
* Experience of conducting research and analysis, summarising findings clearly to a range of audiences
* Excellent digital skills with experience of using web analytics tools, managing professional social media accounts and websites
* Experience of working within a large and complex organisation Experience of supporting or managing projects Excellent IT literacy (Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
