A leading health charity are looking for a permanent Senior Individual Giving Executive to join the successful and focused direct marketing team.

* To be responsible for planning and implementing multiple direct marketing campaigns at any one time across a number of media channels, but primarily direct mail, DRTV, digital and telemarketing, to attract new supporters as well as retain and develop existing supporters of the charity, ensuring targets are met across the regular giving and gaming income streams.

* To ensure campaigns are delivered to budget, are timely and meet objectives, and communicate effectively with your line manager and team of any variances in a timely manner.

* To work closely with fundraisers acting on behalf of the charity, including training and shadowing on a regular basis. To also inspire and motivate them in their fundraising activities.

* To review campaign performance against objectives regularly and produce end of campaign reports, in order to make recommendations for how we can grow, improve and develop, as well as updating the team regularly with a summary of campaign performance via team meetings and emails.

* To manage the creative process through briefing to delivery for your campaigns, which means having the ability to critique creative and also being adept at developing compelling and creative content that inspires people to give.

* To develop great relationships both internally and externally to help us deliver brilliant campaigns in a timely way. This will include writing briefs, giving feedback, securing budgets, managing stock and other day-to-day campaign management requirements.

* To process and reconcile invoices and maintain a spreadsheet record of expenditure on activity, monitoring against budget and flagging variances/discrepancies, ensuring that they are processed in a timely manner and in line with charities procedures.

* To work with the Individual Giving Manager and Fundraising & Marketing Analyst to analyse the Individual Giving programme performance, monitoring the effectiveness of current activity, tracking attrition rates and the long-term value of donors and build findings into the strategy and operational plans.

* To support the Individual Giving Manager in completing monthly commentary reporting against key KPIs and be integral in delivering quarterly reforecasting and contributing to the annual planning process.

* To contribute to the planning process for the Individual Giving team, taking responsibility for discrete parts of the budget and taking a lead in reviewing and reforecasting the programme where necessary.

* To keep abreast of sector trends, developments and best practice by monitoring competitor activity and attending sector meetings where relevant representing the charity and briefing the team on any key findings or opportunities.


* Substantial experience of working in direct marketing across a full range of channels.

* Demonstrable track record of success in developing and implementing integrated direct marketing campaigns.

* Experience of working with suppliers to get the best value and developing strong working relationships.

* Experience of end-to-end campaign management, including end of campaign analysis and feeding findings into future plans.

* Experience of managing budgets and quarterly reforecasting for fundraising campaigns.

Proven and excellent project management skills demonstrating the ability to manage several campaigns at the same time.

* Knowledge of recurring revenue models and loyalty programmes, including developing customer journeys that engage and retain supporters.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* First rate numerical and analytical ability, being able to evaluate and accurately analyse campaigns and draw conclusions from them, feeding into future activity.

* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as across teams.

* Excellent attention to detail.

* Excellent IT skills including MS office packages, especially excel.

* Good knowledge of databases and how they are used in fundraising.
