My client is a thriving consumer brand, with an impressive history and a string of awards to boot! They have a great opportunity for a numbers-focussed, analytical individual to join their (genuinely lovely) Finance team. A background in finance isn’t necessary; more important is an analytical mind and an ability to make the numbers understandable to various stakeholders.

Day to day, your role will include:-

- Forecasting revenue across daily, weekly and annual categories
- Analysing data and pulling out key points in order to effectively relay to the business what is/isn’t working and why
- Suggesting ways of increasing revenue/tweaking forecasts
- Working closely with marketing and commercial teams to make sure all reporting is fit for purpose and to ensure that all teams are aware of trading performance
- Continually review reports to make sure they’re effective and fit for purpose
- Help the business hit profit targets through identifying trends/risks
- Assist with profit improvement plans
- Revenue modelling
- Assisting with planning marketing campaigns to ensure that yield forecasts are accurate

To succeed in this role, you’ll have great statistical analysis skills (with strong Excel skills in particular), 2-3 years’ experience in a similar analytical/forecasting role, and experience of financial modelling in Excel. Equally importantly, you’ll be a fantastic communicator, with the ability to relay information to a range of stakeholders in a way which is easy to digest. You’ll be proactive in your approach and will be a real “team player”.
