Strong data and analytical skills are essential for this exciting new role in the European team of a major global FMCG business. In this key role, you will be responsible for developing the company’s web performance analysis & measurement strategy and implementing best-in-class measurement tools across the business.  You will also help to build a holistic and deep understanding of the key business drivers and mechanics for e-commerce and digital analytics – using data to make clear strategic and operational recommendations that help drive sales and profit growth and brand equity, communications strategy and media efficiency.  This is a role that requires not only exceptional quantitative data analysis skills and knowledge of web & marketing analytics tools, but also a true passion for data and its role in driving change.  Specific responsibilities in this role include:

Digital Analytics

  • Analysis and recommendation of alternative digital analytics capabilities and tools
  • Developing analytical structures which blend internal data sources, market data and macro market trends to make insightful recommendations for on-line strategy
  • Developing, implementing and managing key metrics and dashboards including competitor and market analysis
  • Influencing senior stakeholders to use the analysis to drive strategy and commercial decision making.
  • Working with the digital team to drive ROIs for digital media investment

E-commerce

  • Provide strategic and technical direction for customer analytics on e-commerce platforms including defining KPIs and methodology and producing regular customer insights
  • Defining roadmap for long-term e-commerce analytics needs
  • Developing tools and solutions that improve corporate analytics to support growing demand for fact based, customer-centric decision making in the e-commerce space
  • Mapping business opportunities emerging in the e-commerce channel

With a robust background in digital analytics, e-commerce metrics and a deep understanding of external market and retail data sources, you’ll be looking for your next career challenge.  We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience gained in a leading client-side, agency or consultancy role who can hit the ground running in what is a dynamic and busy working environment and highly-competitive category.  Other skills include:

* Strong commercial experience, ability to think logically and experience applying analytic skills in ways that leverage digital, e-commerce and retail knowledge
* Experience of A/B Testing and dashboard building
* Leadership skills and the ability to sell an idea verbally and in writing
* Ability to coach team & commercial team on use of different data sets to drive research and analytic learning into action plans.
