The organisation is a Central government organisation within the energy sector. They are looking for a Communications and PR manager to join their wider team. The organisation is small and friendly with great work life balance values and a progressive attitude. This role is ideal for a communications professional with experience within the energy sector looking for a new challenge with scope for autonomy.

Your new role

You will be responsible for:


* Executing the company's Stakeholder and Communications strategies through delivery of all external communications and the company's stakeholder engagement programme.
* All external communications channels, including the website, newsletters and media relations.
* Commissioning and managing the use of external providers for stakeholder research, document design, events management and branding/ marketing.
* Providing day-to-day management of the external communications channels
* Managing media and stakeholder queries, including FOI, to agreed deadlines.
* Proactively managing and enhancing the reputation of the organisation through coordinating the delivery of key external publications, including scheme guidance, and to provide design and publication support for all external content.
* Develop and execute a digital communications plan to support the delivery of the communications strategy
* Proactively managing the content and co-ordination of external training events and workshops, primarily with scheme participants.
* Using stakeholder research to understand engagement triggers across key stakeholder categories and tailor engagement and communication accordingly.
* Coordinating and delivering new stakeholder offerings, supporting with logistics and events management.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have:


* Experience of delivering communications strategies and managing stakeholders in multi-institutional landscapes.
* Experience commissioning and managing work by external/outsourced providers
* Computer literacy with extensive experience of Microsoft Office and preferably some experience of Drupal software (used to maintain the website)
* Experience of using of digital and social media tools to positively influence engagement
* The ability to tailor complex information into clear engaging content for different audiences
* Maturity and flexibility to thrive under changing demands and competing priorities
* Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of the potential issues that may impact on the company
* Confidence in dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externally
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Exceptional attention to detail
