An opportunity for an experience Communications specialist to join an internal organisation based in Egham


Client Details

My client is an international organisation based in Egham


Description

The Communications Specialist will have the following responsibilities;

-Manage the newly launched social intranet, including:

* day-to-day upkeep

* working with group owners to develop content

* creating and publishing news stories

* encouraging and embedding the use of the App

* developing and implementing plan to measure its success.



-Practical day-to-day comms:



* Newshound - bring the companies story to life through comms, on both our intranet and website

* Copywriting, editing and proofing of communication content.



-Support key stakeholders with their ongoing communications including developing comms plans, regular attendance at meetings and email newsletters.



-Assist with monitoring our social media channels and posting regularly in line with social media strategy.



Develop new content and provide day-to-day updates and maintenance to the website.


Profile

The Successful Communications specialist should have the followingskillset;

* Substantial 'In company' experience in Internal Communications, in demanding environments where high standards prevail.

* A track record of success in using technology to improve communication and engagement.

* Experience of organisations with a high service ethic, close to the customer, in a multi site environment.

* Experience of working in a matrix organisation

* Experience of using a range of multi-media communication tools and packages, but particularly, great Intranet and content management knowledge. A strong understanding of how to optimise social media. Not a 'techie' but someone who loves working 'on line'.

* Excellent written skills, able to understand and simplify complex ideas quickly.

* Excellent copywriting, editing and proofing skills.

* Good project management skills, capable of working with an Intranet upgrade or replacement.

* Strong organisation and planning ability. Working to tight deadlines

* Strong communication practitioner with experience using a variety of communication channels.

* Proven track record of working directly with senior stakeholders with the confidence to influence


Job Offer

My client is offering the successful candidate a salary of between £45,000- £50, 000 pro-rata either 3 or 4 days per week. This is a new role and they're ideally looking for someone who can start immediately.
