MHA is a charity providing care, accommodation and support services for more than 18,200 older people throughout Britain. Through the commitment and dedication of 7,000 staff and 5,000 volunteers who share our values, our mission is to improve the quality of life for older people.

Today we support:

  • 4,900 older people living in our care homes, many receiving specialist nursing or dementia care
  • 2,700 older people living independently in purpose-built apartments, with access to social and leisure facilities and flexible care should they need it
  • 10,600 older people living independently in their own homes through our Live at Home schemes across the UK

Following a recent re-organisation, we are now looking to engage a Marketing Consultant on a six month fixed term contract basis. In particular MHA’s operating performance in terms of income, occupancy, sales and participation across all retirement living services.

You will need to bring significant marketing expertise in a dynamic consumer environment, possibly from the retail or consumer services sectors. You will develop a coherent marketing operating model, established through a thorough understanding of the customer journey, that empowers and enables service managers and their staff, to undertake effective marketing activity within their local and regional geography. Working with the Marketing team, you will develop integrated national campaigns, for local deployment, leveraging brand messaging to deliver tangible commercial results.

You will develop and deliver effective, sustainable, marketing strategies, plans and tactics to ensure that we are able to exceed our budgeted outcomes and community impact targets.

You will also need to develop the tools, training and guidelines, for operational colleagues to deliver best practice marketing activity. Lead community engagement guidelines and techniques that can be delivered by scheme managers on a local basis, helping them to build relationships with key community stakeholders.
