Description
Based in London or Southampton (travelling to both anyway), the Head of Events will be responsible for:
* Creating the product communication platform for delivering the new product launches and utilising the semi-permanent exhibition space and Operating Companies facilities to run these events. The products and ranges should be promoted in an inspiring way leaving the Operating Companies excited to sell them.
* Partnering and working collaboratively with multiple key group stakeholders in both the development of the process, its implementation and ongoing delivery.
* Your biggest accountability will be to lead a small team that plans and conducts the new product events for the annual launch calendar.
* This will include all product element such as; pricing, merchandising planning, and internal range communication packs.
* You will support the commercial business collaboration meetings for range and retail exhibitions in our annual business year cycle and ensure that the launch approach encompasses content that works across all channels with an emphasis on driving digital sales.
* Lead your direct team and the tasks interdependently- influencing, motivating and cooperating with key stakeholders in various roles in the company.
* Plan world class, highly motivating, events with a low cost (or cost effective) approach.
Transition and balance the competing needs of the role, from strategy to operational tasks- you will be accountable for developing the 3-year plan and will equally be required to respond when you notice a tile is missing in the exhibition the evening before the event starts.
Profile
Based in London or Southampton (travelling to both anyway), the successful candidate must have/be:
* Relevant experience in leading events within the retail space.
* Speak and write fluently in English, and develop clear and concise communication
* Manage yourself and your team in a fast pace environment
* Strategic planning
* Strategic and effective communication
* Working in an international environment with people from diverse cultures
* Events and exhibition planning leadership skills
